Sunset Field in Wabash, Indiana
I was so excited to meet the German family at their home to capture some traditional and candid moments with their two toddler daughters. While preparing, I was OVERJOYED that the weather was beautiful for this late October family session. The trees were glistening in the early sunset during my drive to Wabash, Indiana. But the most wonderful surprise was when I arrived to find their “home” was a little piece of paradise! Their backyard overlooked a beautiful meadow full of tall glowing grasses with walking paths in all directions.
For young family sessions, I personally like to combine traditional posed smiling portraits with candid playful captures. With two toddlers leading the way, there was no room for a “plan”. We chose to walk and run down those beautiful nature paths. When things get a little uncontrolled, we stop for a little one on one interaction - to dance, swing or fly.
These little ones are changing so quickly! Each day is a milestone for an expecting mom of two toddlers. I’m beyond THRILLED to be able to capture a few of the intimate moments that you experience with your children. There’s no need to make it complicated. When we get together, all you have to do is play and love your babies.

If you’re new to family photography sessions, here’s a few things to remember (especially for dads who don’t like to get their picture taken):
Be ready to love on your kiddos - to embrace, hug, hold, toss, swing, and fly the airplane!
Don’t try and force them into sitting still and smiling. This only overstimulates a young soul. Instead, find your silly face and let me capture the perfect moment.
You don’t have to look at the camera! You will love looking back at the moments that you shared as parents.
