This girl asked me to do her senior pics during the summer. And then, life happened. There’s this weird COVID school year, working jobs, sports… it’s a pretty crazy time - being a Senior. One day, I had to do some rescheduling and a beautiful warm and sunny October day opened up. I reached out to Atlanta and asked if she was interested. AND I AM SO HAPPY that she took my opening!

This girl IS sunshine! She has a beautiful laugh. She was pretty open to any posing or style changes! Yes, she waded into the river and didn’t seem to mind the mud in her toes. I was shocked when she brought a dress instead of her camo hunting gear.

But to be honest, I wasn’t sure what SHE wanted her photos to look or feel like. I always ask my Seniors if there are places they want to go, or a certain vibe they want to create. Most don’t have specifics. So then I ask for pictures of their outfits and accessories. This always helps me choose a location or backdrop.

When Atlanta put on her final wardrobe change, things went up a whole notch!

There comes a moment in a session where my client trusts me. They loosen up. They stop worrying about their insecurities and stop worrying that they aren’t “doing it right”. It’s my favorite part of the night.

It’s when true smiles come out. And I can finally capture YOU.

This isn’t just a girl playing dress up. This chick is serious about her love for our country. She is planning to finish school early and serve in the military. And, I am soooo thankful that I get to hang with kids like this one! It’s inspiring to see her passion about her future and I wish her the best! You will be missed, Atlanta!
