I met the Padgett Family at their Wabash, Indiana farm recently to photograph their family of three. When owner Sophie contacted me, she inquired about what type of session we could do to get a variety of images - from a few family portraits, to some more candid pictures with their sweet daughter, AND a few of their adorable 6 week old Valais Blacknose sheep to promote their growing business. Although Sophie cares for her sheep - husband Nate and daughter join in caring for all of their farm animals, including chickens, pigs, dogs and cat.

I had the best time getting to know this young family! I love meeting new people that feel like old friends. Sophie and I chatted about raising kids on a farm in today’s world. Maintaining a farm is work but being outside in nature brings so much reward. The lambs had soft curly coats of fur and were gentle and sweet!
