in Winter in West Lafayette

It’s December! And I recently met up with Class of 2024 Purdue University Graduate KAILEY to capture her Cap and Gown Photography on Purdue’s campus. It was my first time being in West Lafayette to see the beautiful Christmas decorations at the Memorial Union! I love a little sparkle this time of year. Green wreaths adorned with gold ornaments and twinkle lights were a fun surprise at both arches! Even though most of the fall leaves have disappeared, campus is still pretty in winter.

I love meeting new grads and hearing about where they are from and where they are headed. Kailey and I chatted about her time on campus as a Biology major, future plans in Radiology and finding a few common bonds along the way. She reminded me that this graduating class started during the height of covid restrictions. As if starting college isn’t hard enough? We both agreed that the commencement ceremony flew by quickly and the motivational words from speakers and students are still setting in.
